Part of NS's dead line at Debutts Yard in Chattanooga, Tennessee during June of 2001 included oddballs to their fleet including several SD50S units that were unique to N&W and NS, a few worn out non dash2 ex CR EMDs and several high hood B23-7 models, but the one that stuck out most of all in a strange way was this former Southern slug, RPA4U which Southern Railway built several of using Alco RS3s as cores. As a side note, it sure wasn't common to see anything painted NS with poling pockets. (Slide Scan)
