Apparently my friend Tim Repp and I interrupted an Elks Club meeting at Field, BC while waiting for the "Canadian" to leave town. A heard of elk showed up and this cow was a little bit protective of us getting up to the right of way for some shots. They provided some station stop entertainment for passengers as well. The 8418 had just dropped down the hill from Kicking Horse Pass with a rail train, and no. 2 was about about ready to leave for Lake Louise.
