Remarks & Notes
A SEPTA Commuter train arrives at the spartan Exton park and ride station in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. This station was built in 1981 near the long gone PRR Whiteland station (which was also more of a shelter than station). It is roughly 28 miles west of Downtown Philadelphia and is located on the Keystone line. Its popularity is due to its location near the intersection of US Route 30 and PA Route 100, with little significance otherwise. A plan to improve the station was announced in 2013 with full length high-level boarding platforms and a small station building is in progress as seen to the right. The 1981 built shelter on the left will be just a memory by 2019 - thankfully.
