Remarks & Notes
Steam, sun, snow A weak winter sun does its best to penetrate the steam emanating from the stacks of a pair of QJ's being readied for work on a bitterly cold day. Known to those few railfans that got there as "Baiqi", this division point was far to the west of the famous Jingpeng Pass but produced endless quantities of QJ-hauled trains until the diesels arrived in 2004. 7043, at right, has had its smoke deflectors removed to facilitate switching the yard.
