| A Penn Central commuter train powered by a New York Central RS-3 makes its station stop at Newtonville, MA, en route from Framingham to Boston on a summer morning. In later years the NYC's passenger RS-3s (steam boiler equipped) could be identified by their 5500-series numbers. |
