| Westbound BN train from Chicago is passing by East Cabin in East Dubuque. There was trackage and agreement put in place between the CCP and the BN from East Dubuque to Portage in 1992. The CN still today retains owner ship of the eastbound track, while BNSF owns the westbound, and maintains/dispatches both. The BNSF must pay when they delay CN trains. The agreement ended the era of a manned East Cabin operator around 1994. Back in 1996 the BNSF merger was just in its 1st year and all the power was thrown to the wind. Was a great time cause a guy would never know what was coming. |
