I wanted to take a moment and look at a timewhen the clock turned back. After the maroon purge between 2006-2008, in which 38 DM&IR units were either sold, scrapped or repainted, it was very rare to get an all maroon consist. Once the 210 and 213 were sold in 2009 and 211 repainted in 2010, it was basically impossible. To my knowledge the 403 and 215 were only paired up a handful of times after the , including a couple days in 2015. Pinch hitting for one of the SD38-2's, it was a most welcome sight, especially for someone like me who never really got to see full maroon consists.
