Remarks & Notes
2-6-0 T cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 1 "Furkahorn" of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB) is shunting at Gletsch, for pulling train 134 over the Furka pass to Realp. Because of high wild fire risk, there is no steam traction between Oberwald and Gletsch in this days. Instead the passengers are travelling in the diesel train with HGm 4/4 # 61 of the MGB, rented by the DFB. The HG 3/4 # 1 was built in 1913 by SLM Winterthur for the Brig-Furka-Disentis railway (BFD), ran later for the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn (FO) and was sold to Vietnam in 1947, after the electrification of the entire FO line. Brought back in 1990 to Switzerland as scrap and running again on the Furka line since 1993.
