Remarks & Notes
The C&O's Class J3a "Greenbrier" No. 614 is pulling a westbound Hoboken-Port Jervis excursion in the fall of 1996. Moodna viaduct, the highest and longest railroad trestle east of the Mississippi River, was built 1906-08 for the Erie Railroad. The bridge, designed for less wind-resistance, opened for service on January 1, 1909; it's 3,200 feet long and 193 feet high at its highest point.
