Apart from the modern overhead contact line, this photo could easily have been taken about 100 years ago. The Ge 4/6 # 353 of 1913 pulls the open freight car L # 6603 of 1911, the boxcar K1 # 5615 of 1913, the third class passenger car C # 2012 "Il Samedrin" of 1889, the luggage car F # 4004 "Doris und Calvin" of 1896 and the mail car Z # 26 of 1913. The train is on the Engadine line of the Rhaetian Railway from Scuol-Tarasp to Bever (-Samedan), which was inaugurated in 1913, between Zernez and the Carolina crossing station. The historic locomotive of the RhB is based at Samedan, the cars were all renovated by members of association "Club 1889" in voluntary work.
