Last day of service July 31, 1981 marked the end of SEPTA RDC service between Philadelphia and Newark, NJ. The last northbound run is shown at Manville NJ, on a connection from ex Reading trackage to the NJ Transit Raritan line. This bridge is no longer in active service.
Two rapid transit lines, PATCO and PATH, take commuters to Philadelphia and New York, respectively. Metro North locomotives and rolling stock often show up on NJ Transit northern lines and SEPTA terminates routes in Trenton and West Trenton.
