A northbound NS train, lead by GECX 7874, slowly comes to a stop on the main track about 1.5 miles north of Arabi, GA. The statue marks the grave of Richard Albert (R.A.) Bedgood, a Freemason and the founder and namesake of Arabi, Georgia (Get it, R-A-B?). Bedgood also enlisted in the confederate army in July of 1864 with Company G of the 7th Georgia Infantry.
