Back in the CP Rail era, the eastbound Canadian's scheduled ten-minute stop at Banff, Alberta, provided a chance for passengers to stretch their legs and photographers to jump off for a quick shot amid the mountains. I would not have guessed that day that 42 years later the classic Park cars and other CP equipment would still be carrying on for VIA.
