| "Giruno" highspeed train RABe 501 # 004 of StadlerRail for the SBB on a test run from Romanshorn to Sulgen is passing the pond at Riedt near Erlen. This particular train reached 275 km/h (170,8 mph) in the Gotthard Base Tunnel some days ago, a speed record for a swiss built train in Switzerland. The same train ran with 275 km/h during test runs in Germany on the line Hannover-Göttingen. The regular maximum speed of the Giruno is 250 km/h. |
