The cab of former NdeM 4-8-4 No. 3028 (owned by the ALCO Historical and Technical Society) sits in the back yard of the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad pending disposition. The "light" 4-8-4 locomotive was leased and shipped to New Hope in 1997 for a hoped for restoration to operation. Though the disassembly was completed, and work was started, it became a "rainy day" project with work eventually coming to a complete halt. The locomotive itself sits further back in the yard, on the deadline, with its tender. To the right, and in back of the cab, under the tarp is the railroad's former Northampton & Bath, ex-Lehigh and New England caboose which is being restored.
