Snow flurries were in the air as a borrowed Conrail U30B and a dirty Amtrak E8 rolled north through the Hudson Valley at Cold Spring, NY, with Amtrak train 63, the Niagara Rainbow out of Grand Central Terminal. The train was bound for Detroit via Buffalo and the Canada Southern line.
