V/line's N472 and Steamrail's T356 trail the Farewell Wycheproof Broad Gauge special, seen here in the main street of Wycheproof. Steam locomotive A2 986 is at the head of the train. In coming months the line will be converted to Standard Gauge as part of the Murray Basin Rail Project. The appearance of an N class on this tour was required as none of Steamrail's diesels had yet been fitted with the new digital train radio system. The presence of the N was historic in its own right, as it was quite possibly the first time one had visited this location.
