DMIR 403, still wearing her Missabe era colors, runs north on the CN Missabe Sub for the mine. DMIR 403 debuted to the world as SP 9184 in 1972 and shortly after this photo, the she would suffer a cracked block and is currently out of service, reportedly destined for the St. Louis area for prime mover work after suffering a cracked block while in service. While it's certain somebody knows for sure it is hoped that she can escape the "brand recognition booth" and return to her home rails on the Range serving CN in her classic DMIR paint.
