It's been 43 years since the Salisbury Viaduct has had a Western Maryland train, or any train for that matter, cross this mighty structure. The longest bridge on the Western Maryland (WM), it spans the Casselman River Valley at an impressive 1,908 feet. It is now part of the Great Allegheny Passage which extends from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, and if you've never been across the bridge you are certainly missing out on the views! Below, the old B&O now CSX's Keystone Subdivision, carries trains up and down the famed Sand Patch Grade. Q015 interrupts a serene and beautiful winter scene ducking under the mighty WM Salisbury Viaduct a hair west of Meyersdale, PA.
