The Amtrak Vermonter rolls into the White River Junction station stop with Amtrak P42s 182 and 68 leading the typically 5-car train. Behind the depot is the Vermont Railway GP40-2 308 that is assigned to the VRS' Connecticut River Division.

The successor to the Montrealer, the Vermonter runs between St. Albans, Vt., and Washington, DC. Much of the northern part of the route runs along the Connecticut and White Rivers.
