A southbound loaded coal train crosses interstate 85 on the Blue Ridge Sub. In the 9+ years since this photo was taken, coal has virtually left this line, the main line has been rerouted through the facility in the distance and a new yard built, and the bridge I stood on has been decommissioned (but not yet removed). The I85 widening project will reportedly claim this iconic Clinchfield-lettered bridge.
