Charging through Rossville. Southern Railway Locomotives 630 and 4501 doublehead on one of the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's Summerville Specials as they pass through Rossville, GA on Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway trackage. My first-ever look at the TVRM's two "southern belles" turned out to be a most impressive one, despite the low overcast, pouring rain and rather COLD temperatures this day. I began hearing this train when it charged through downtown Rossville perhaps a mile to the north and when it arrived in this residential neighborhood, I was rewarded with massive plumes and 630 lifting the pops. I've seen more than a few doubleheaders in my day, but this one definitely stands out with perhaps the prettiest set of power of all.
