The friendly barrier guard at a crossing near Dongbolizhan, on the coal mine railroad of Sandaoling. In his well-heated guard's house, he has a video screen with a view of the road on both sides of the railway line, a red telephone, an electric heating plate and a good coal-fired oven. The barrier is usually closed and he opens it manually outside his hut when a car or lorry has to use the crossing.
