Remarks & Notes

Two Metra commuter trains pass each other between Chicago Union Station and Roosevelt Road at Taylor Street. Both are powered by Metra’s unique EMD F40PHM-2s, built in 1991-1992, and were the railroad’s first locomotive with desktop controls and were the last locomotives built by EMD in nearby La Grange, Illinois.
