Remarks & Notes

The New Haven Railroad was in its final weeks as grimy Alco FA1 0428 and its mates spent the day at the Dover Street enginehouse in South Boston. The NH's last Alco cab units, often running as an A-B-B-A set, were regularly assigned to Boston-Lowell trains BL-1 and LB-2 through 1968 and into the Penn Central era.
