The "Golden 30 Seconds." As photographers, we live for those critical "colored hours" at the end of the day. The Golden Hour and the Blue Hour are the times when the magic happens and one of the goals of any photo charter is to put the patrons in a position to capture their subject with great scenery during those times. Unfortunately, more often than not, mother nature has other ideas. On this particular day, Pete Lerro had our re-creation "Virginia Creeper" staged for sunset shots with the backdrop of the picturesque Cherry Crest Farm, but as the sun sank toward the horizon, the same blanket of broken clouds that had been following us all day was still hanging tough. Then suddenly, just seconds after the train began one last run-by, all of the novenas paid off. Instead of a Golden Hour this day, the great Trainmaster upstairs gave us only a Golden 30 Seconds, but his timing was impeccable.
