Remarks & Notes
One of the greenest seasons I've ever seen in the Tehachapi's was back in February 2016, after a ton of rainfall dropped on the mountain that January, and then in early February there was a lot of days with sunlight to strengthen up the green grasses and wildflowers. Here it was the 13th of February and a hazy morning in the Tehachapi foothills. A BNSF intermodal heading north is minutes from Caliente and gliding down through tunnels 1 and 2. You can see in the foreground just how lush the grass was in this month.

Good Light, Good Scenery, and a Train

Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
Just plain cool trains.

What California is known for. Fires, droughts, weed, and people waving rainbow flags. Yah. Great place alright. At least the trains are nice.
