Time Marches On

The days of the PRR Position Light Signal are numbered. With the implementation of PTC on the Pittsburgh Line picking up pace, line-side automatic block signals will soon become a thing of thing of the past. While there's not really anything we can do about the advance of a new technology, we can appreciate things that are still here while they last.

27N accelerates past the PT 225 Automatics at Tipton, PA on a sunny autumn afternoon. The second unit was more colorful than the disappointing foliage show we've gotten this year...
