Remarks & Notes
The freshly painted "Spirit of the Union Pacific" departs the unveiling ceremony held at Sunset Station in San Antonio and will soon begin Union Pacific's Salute to the Military Tour. The locomotive arrived to San Antonio covered in a tarp displaying UP 9026 on the sides. It is seen departing as the UP 1943.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
