Remarks & Notes

The state-funded Bay State was Amtrak's "inland route" train between Boston and Washington via Worcester, Springfield, and Hartford. The lingering winter snow was giving way to the early spring sun on a March morning as F40 207 swung through Wellesley, MA, westbound on Conrail's former Boston & Albany line, which was once four tracks through here.
