On a winter morning, New Haven RS-3 533 makes up daily local freight NX-12 in the NH's small yard in Pittsfield, MA, adjacent to ther former Boston & Albany. It will shortly head south on the NH's Berkshire line (now operated by the Housatonic RR) with a handy broom ready to clear any snow-clogged switches. Penn Central took over three weeks earlier, but nothing has changed yet here at the NH's northernmost terminal.
