Remarks & Notes
A Glasgow Subway train pulls into the narrow island platform at West Street, on the Inner Circle. The Glasgow Subway is a double track underground loop circling the inner city. It opened as a cable-hauled line in 1896, and was electrified with a 600v DC third rail in 1935. The subway is an unusual 4' gauge.
