| ALMOST THE END OF AN ERA... Morristown & Erie C424 18 is the last operating Alco locomotive on the railroad. It will be retired soon and will be acquired by the Illinois Railway Museum. The M&E has had active Alco diesel locomotives for the past 65 years... with the S4 14 being the first such locomotive. It was delivered to the railroad during 1952. |
