Remarks & Notes
An eastbound stack train passes beneath the Santa Fe-style signal bridge just east of Marceline. The consist represents the last three generations of GE locomotives; a new Tier 4 ET44C4, a Tier 3 ES44C4, and the Dash-9 model of the 1990s.

Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
