| "NYAR Scrap Train at Fresh Pond"
New York & Atlantic Railway's RS-20 crew has the task of shuttling two vintage P72 Coaches (LI 2907 & LI 2933) from Fresh Pond Yard to Wheelspur Facility in Long Island City via the Lower Montauk. Once there the coaches will be cut up on site by Frontier Metals personnel and hauled off to their facility in Ohio for further scrapping. These two coaches are the first of many vintage LIRR passenger equipment that will meet the torch in the upcoming months. |
