Remarks & Notes
While the original plan for this morning was to wake up early and hang out with friends to shoot some trains in the morning light, as it turned out, I was the sole person up early enough to find the BNSF 3889 and its eastbound Z on its approach to the western end of Crozier Canyon. Seen here rounding the sweeping curve in what turned out to be the only sliver of sunlight all morning (you can see the clouds in the background that shortly after this photo was taken blocked the light), the the small white house in the background ironically is where all my friend's were sleeping. Somehow I doubt the small buzzing of my drone followed by the thunder of horsepower and screaming flanges woke them up with how tired they must have been.

Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
