A line of equipment owned by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad lies on a siding south of Garibaldi. This stretch of track -- once operated by the Port of Tillamook Bay Railroad -- has been isolated from the rest of the US rail system since 2007, when a storm washed out the line through the Salmonberry River Gorge. Given the severity of the damage, it is unlikely a train will ever cross the Coast Range again.
