| EBFL's Advent special crosses from the lower to the upper Klammtunnel on it's way to Salzburg with the 1020 018 on the point (as ever). They made a one day trip from Lienz to the Salzburger Christmas fair. The track goes straight across two solid granite blocks which are separated by this canyon, called Gasteiner klamm. Its hard to get into the canyon: You could climb around the gorge, where the old road laid (seen in the upper right corner), but a part of it crashed down into the river several years ago. The other way to get to the spot is trough a half mile long single track railway tunnel. |
