| B&O SW9 9605 in Chessie System paint and NW2 mate 9529 are stored at Willard, Ohio, location of Baltimore & Ohio's Willard Yard. This was B&O's largest yard facility in Ohio at the time and included a hump operation. In 1981 traffic was down and B&O like other railroads idled a number of older diesels, many of which ended up sold off or scrapped. |
