Zimbabwe has long been known as the land of the Beyer-Garratt steam locomotives and it is the last country to still use these articulated locomotives for revenue service. On a sunny winter day, NRZ #611 storms up the hill at Zanguja with a traditional freight train. This locomotive usually works at Hwange Colliery, hauling coal, but today it has been borrowed for a mainline freight train for photographers. This was a real freight, run with steam for Farrail Tours.
