I took off for work with the sole intent to catch this shot...I was looking to get the sun in it, but I was happy with the beautiful sunset. In this shot, an Eastbound stack train is approaching the top of a sag at East Canyon Diablo at sunset.
Tier IV locomotives are the safest, cleanest, and most fuel efficient locomotives on the rails today. Unfortunately, most of them are ugly and are as quiet as an ACS-64.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
