Remarks & Notes
On a hot, July evening, a few of us ventured out south of Kansas City to photograph the Missouri & Northern Arkansas, as word had gotten out about one of their ex-SP Tunnel Motors leading it out of the city. Amazingly, this 1975-built SD45T-2 has maintained the same road number since it was built, although it has gone through a number of owners, beginning with the SSW. Here, we see the train pulling out of Harrisonville, MO for Carthage, MO after making its crew change at the "depot." It may not be Cajon, but the 9391 sure looked good rolling through west-central Missouri.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
