| Three brand new EMD SD70Ace-T4’s coming at you in eastern Utah. Thanks to a very helpful railfan in the Denver area I got enough advance notice of this MNYRO to get into position to capture these 3 new T4’s near Wellington on the Union Pacific’s Green River Sub. That new paint really pops in the bright sun. For those interested in Rio Grande history, this location is a railroad crossing of sorts. That gray mound of soil across the tracks from where I am standing is the original D&RGWRY narrow gauge roadbed built in 1883. The modern tracks are on the 1889 standard gauge realignment built in 1889 by the Rio Grande Western. |
