| The quiet, calmness of morning is briefly disrupted as N&W's Class J No. 611 works her way east down Christiansburg Mountain, as seen from atop the Shawsville Cut. This location used to be the site of Shawsville "Little" Tunnel but was daylighted sometime after 1956 to allow adequate clearance along the double track mainline due to the ever growing size of locomotives and rolling stock. May 29th, 2017.
