| The 611 works by the Niagra power dam with the final return trip of the Roanoker. The magnificent steam plume made standing in the pouring rain atop the Blue Ridge Parkway bridge very much worth it. The train's curving path through the saturated green woods could be traced by the steam for quite a while after. |
