Remarks & Notes
Amtrak's Mt. Rainer passes under its namesake mountain as the train approaches Puyallup, WA on its way to a station stop at Tacoma. This train was one of the Seattle-Portland short haul trains that replaced the pre-Amtrak pool trains operated by BN and UP. These in turn were replaced by the modern Cascades service Talgo trains running currently. The E8 is former CB&Q 9941B.

Amtrak & Via Rail, along with commuter trains go here. Also their predecessors. PS. I only like diesels or electric.
