The springtime morning air is cool, but crisp in Salisbury, North Carolina as Roanoke's best, the J-Class 611, slowly eases out of town. With a train full of passengers, the 611 put on a once-in-a-lifetime show for everyone trackside. I believe Mr. O. Winston Link would have been proud.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
