Stadler FLIRT electric multiple unit railcar and DR1 diesel railcar at the Brest Central Station.
The FLIRT train was originally developed for the Swiss Federal Railways and was first delivered in 2004. The trains quickly became a success and were ordered by operators in Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, the Czech Republic,[3] Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States and, most recently, the United Kingdom. The DR1 diesel trainset was manufactured by Rīgas Vagonbūves Rūpnīca from 1963 for suburban commute usage within the Soviet Union, and remained in use by Edelaraudtee in Estonia until 2014. In 2016 DR1 trainsets (different modifications) are still in use in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
