A Burlington Northern freight thunders westbound on Track 2 through Highlands, Illinois, on August 2, 1986. The train is led by BN No. 6593—former Great Northern SDP45 No. 327—one of eight purchased by GN in 1967 equipped with a steam generator for passenger service.
