The power and caboose for the Valley Owl local are parked between duties at Sumner, WA, located between Tacoma and Kent/Auburn. This was part of the UP/MILW joint mainline into Seattle and is still in use by UP today. Note the open bi-level auto rack coupled to the caboose. Part of the Owl's duties was to switch the Kent auto unloading facility.
